2020 — Very warm conditions on the Spanish meseta were offset by excellent natural acidity in the higher-altitude appellations, producing some of the finest wines in years from Ribera del Duero and Priorat. Concentration and freshness coexist with uncommon elegance.

France delivered its second consecutive hot vintage, with outstanding quality across Bordeaux and the Rhône Valley. Burgundy was more heterogeneous but yielded generous, ripe wines; a vintage that rewards careful selection.
