2010 — Widely considered one of the greatest vintages of the century's first decade across Bordeaux, the Rhône and Spain. Perfect balance of concentration and acidity defines the wines, with neither heat-driven flabbiness nor harsh structure. Sauternes was also exceptional.

Rioja and Ribera del Duero gran reservas from this harvest continue to develop in bottle, and patience is rewarded. Many critics rate this as the finest vintage since 2005 in Bordeaux, and the wines from both banks remain in excellent drinking condition.
