Located above Ammerschwihr, Kaefferkopf is one of only two Alsace Grand Crus officially permitting blended wines — most significantly Gewurztraminer combined with Riesling — a reflection of deep-rooted local tradition. At 72 hectares it is one of the largest Grand Crus in Alsace, its granite, limestone and sandstone soils producing Gewurztraminer of vivid floral intensity alongside structured Riesling and blends of remarkable aromatic complexity.
