Located above Ammerschwihr, Kaefferkopf is unique among Alsace Grand Crus in officially permitting blended wines — most significantly Gewurztraminer combined with Riesling — a reflection of deep-rooted local tradition. At 72 hectares it is one of the largest Grand Crus in Alsace, its sandstone and limestone complex producing Gewurztraminer of vivid floral intensity alongside structured Riesling and blends of remarkable aromatic complexity.
