Nestled in a valley opening onto the plain north of Beaune, Savigny-lès-Beaune produces predominantly Pinot Noir of lighter, more supple character than much of the Côte de Beaune, shaped by its mix of limestone and clay soils and slightly cooler orientation. With 22 premier cru climats yielding wines of early accessibility and gentle charm, it offers an excellent and honest entry point into the quality and personality of the golden slope.
