Learn more about 2016
2016 — In Bordeaux, this stands among the decade's finest vintages: a cool season followed by a sunny August and September produced wines with perfectly ripe tannins and ideal acidity for long ageing on both banks. Burgundy was more heterogeneous due to summer hail in the Côte de Beaune.
Spain's meseta delivered excellent wines with slow, balanced ripening, and the vintage is already showing its class in the glass. Grand cru Bordeaux and the best Rioja reservas and gran reservas from this year are wines to keep.
