Château Fargueirol

We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.

The Révoltier name appears in the area in 1340, but the story is not a continuous line. The family held property then and left the district after the French Revolution. They were away for almost two centuries.

They returned in 1974, when Joseph Révoltier bought ten hectares that had to be recovered entirely: the vines had gone untended for years. What is the winery today begins there, not in the Middle Ages.

Thirty hectares in the far north of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, twenty-nine of red and one of white. The name is taken from the lieu-dit where the vineyard sits, Fargueirol.

Pierre Révoltier, Joseph's son, runs it, with his own son Roman next in line.

Among its plots is Les Grandes Gallières, planted between 1980 and 1985 on limestone with Urgonian rolled stones.
