Château les Croisille
We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.
Bernard and Cécile Croisille built the vineyard from nothing in 1979, on the limestone causses of Luzech.
Today three generations work thirty hectares, with Écocert organic certification since 2010.
The vines sit on the limestone plateaus around Luzech, on a limestone soil that shows traces of iron.
Divin comes from three plots on the estate, of siliceous red clay, Kimmeridgian limestone and siderolitic limestone. It is 100% malbec.
It is picked by hand, destemmed and vinified in small open tanks, punched down at the start of maceration and lightly pumped over each day. Vatting runs thirty days at 28 ºC and ageing eighteen months in 30-hectolitre casks.
