Bodegas Hermanos Peciña
We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.
Pedro Peciña Crespo founded Bodegas Hermanos Peciña in 1992 with his three children, in a small winery in the centre of San Vicente de la Sonsierra where only “cosechero” wine was made. In 1997 they opened the new winery and began making whites and aged reds: crianza, reserva and gran reserva.
They farm about 50 hectares of their own vineyards in and around San Vicente, mostly Tempranillo, with some red Garnacha and Viura. The winery can process a million kilos of grapes a year and holds 4,500 American oak barrels spread over three cellars.
Their brands are Señorío de P. Peciña and Chobeo de Peciña, and in 2005 they opened a cellar for ageing the Chobeo wines. Señorío de P. Peciña is aged with the traditional racking from barrel to barrel, settled by gravity and neither filtered nor fined. The founder's son, Pedro Peciña Gil, has run his own project, El Vino Pródigo, since 2011.
