Palmer & Co Vintage 2012 | Champagne
Vineyard from various municipalities with a high quality rating on the northeast slope of the Montagne de Reims. 54% Chardonnay, 46% Pinot Noir.
Aging for six years in stacks, in the bottle and on its lees, with an important rest in the cellar after disgorgement before being put on the market.
Palmer's 2012 Brut Vintage continues to show beautifully, wafting from the glass with notes of citrus oil, buttered toast, smoke and crisp green orchard fruit. Medium to full-bodied, deep and concentrated, with a tightly wound core, tangy acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it's long and penetrating, concluding with a chalky finish. This is evolving very gracefully and will be even better with more time in the cellar: it's one of the finest vintage releases I've tasted from this address.

Lively mousse. Creamy nose, almost lactic. The Palmer CEO suggests pear. Transparent and very racy. Excellent attack. Still quite youthful but already approachable. A rather charming, easy drink. I could drink this all afternoon. Very friendly now.
