Maison Lallier, founded 1906 in Aÿ and owned by Campari Group since 2020. Chef de cave Dominique Demarville previously spent 13 years as chef de cave at Veuve Clicquot. Aged 36–48 months on lees, dosed at 8 g/L.

Blanc de Blancs, Champagne Lallier

Se trata de un Champán Blanc de Blancs non-vintage elaborado en Francia bajo la denominación de origen Champagne. La bodega Champagne Lallier, fundada en 1906 en Aÿ y propiedad desde 2020 del Grupo Campari, dirige esta producción bajo la gestión del chef de cave Dominique Demarville.

El vino está compuesto al 100% por Chardonnay proveniente exclusivamente de parcelas clasificadas Grand Cru. El ensamblaje combina chardonnay de Aÿ, en la Vallée de la Marne (poco habitual en un blanc de blancs), con el de Avize, Cramant y Oger, en la Côte des Blancs. El producto incluye un 30% de vinos de reserva. La fermentación maloláctica es parcial. La crianza se extiende entre 36 y 48 meses sobre lías en botella, finalizando con un dosaje de 8 g/L.

En cuanto a su puntuación, The Wine Advocate ha otorgado al vino 91 puntos.

René Lallier founded the house in 1906 in Aÿ, after marrying into a Champenois family.

Aÿ sits in the Marne valley and is one of the villages classified as grand cru. It is worth knowing what that mention means on a Champagne label, because it is not the same as in Burgundy: there a grand cru is a specific plot, whereas here it is the whole village that is classified, and the term may only be used if all the fruit comes from vineyards in grand cru villages.

The house's vineyard runs to just over fifteen hectares, most of it around Aÿ and in grands crus.

René-James Lallier, the founder's grandson, thoroughly modernised the facilities from 1996. In 2004 the house was bought by Francis Tribaut, a Champenois who also advises other houses in the region. Since 2020 it has belonged to Campari, with Dominique Demarville as general manager and cellar master.
