The vineyard is located south of the village of Sauternes on south-west facing slopes. Harvested by hand.
Fermentation is in stainless steel tanks of 50 hectoliters with controlled temperature. Aging for 2 years in oak barrels from the Allier forest of central France and vats.

Pale to medium lemon-gold in color, the 2016 Filhot gives pronounced notes of guava, pineapple upside down cake, marzipan, musk perfume, Manuka honey and allspice with a hint of crème brûlée. Full, rich and concentrated, a lovely line of freshness cuts through the dense savory/sweet layers, finishing earthy.
