Château de Saint-Pey sits in the village of Saint-Pey-d'Armens within the AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation, a family estate stewarded by the Musset family across six generations, with a château whose origins date partly to the 16th century. Its 25 to 35 hectares of vines grow on the classic clay-limestone soils of the Saint-Émilion côtes — sandy at the surface, loamy in the midlayer, and clay-limestone in the subsoil — with an average vine age of 30 to 40 years lending depth and concentration to the fruit. The blend is built on 85% Merlot, complemented by 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2019 vintage was one of the finest in recent Bordeaux memory, marked by a warm, sunny growing season that delivered exceptional concentration, firm yet refined structure, and rich aromatic complexity across Saint-Émilion. Following traditional vinification, the wine was aged for 12 to 18 months in barrels with 50% new oak, allowing the wood to integrate seamlessly into the fruit. The result is a wine of elegant red fruit aromas, a silky attack on the palate, fine polished tannins, and a beautifully balanced interplay between ripe fruit and well-judged oak.
