Matadiablos 2022 | Casa Lebai | Ribera del Duero

Casa Lebai is a family winery in DO Ribera del Duero, today run by brothers Asier and Rodrigo, grandsons of the founder. Matadiablos takes its name directly from the vineyard parcel it comes from — a single plot of 100% Tinto Fino planted in 1997 and trained in traditional gobelet, on a gently north-facing slope of sandy-clay soils at 826 metres altitude.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to preserve the purity and freshness of the fruit, followed by 12 months in large 3,000-litre foudres — a deliberate departure from small barriques, delivering gentle micro-oxygenation and seamless integration with barely any oak fingerprint.
