El Anejón 2020 | Ribera del Duero
9.43 hectares with vineyards planted in 2001, arranged in terraces that welcome the Carraovejas valley. This is one of the first terraced plots in the Ribera del Duero and one of the few examples of terraced vineyards in the entire designation of origin. Mostly west-facing, but with great exposure thanks to its slope. 93% Tinto fino, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Merlot.
The bunches were placed in a cold chamber and on a selection table where each grape was carefully selected. A double selection was carried out: after reviewing all the bunches and destemming, also controlling the entry of each berry manually. The fermentation was completed in small French oak vats to enhance the unique characteristics of the terroir. Both the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations occurred spontaneously. After being transferred by gravity, it was aged in new 600-litre extra-fine grain French oak barrels.
