Now that it has been bottled, Mathieu's 2017 Chateauneuf du Pape continues to show superb concentration and intense blackberry, black cherry and licorice notes. It's medium to full-bodied and velvety in texture, with rich tannins lingering on the finish. Give it another year or so to settle down, and drink it over the next decade.
