Domaine Christophe Vaudoisey has been rooted in Volnay since 1804 — now in its ninth generation — with Christophe and Laurence taking the helm in 1985 and today working alongside their son Pierre across 12 hectares in Volnay, Pommard, Monthélie and Meursault. The Vieilles Vignes is drawn from village Volnay vines averaging around fifty years old, grown on the limestone and clay soils typical of the appellation and farmed under lutte raisonnée principles, with production limited to 9,000 bottles.

The grapes are 100% destemmed and the wine is aged in tank, a deliberate choice that keeps the expression of Volnay's fruit clear and unobscured by oak. The result is quintessential Volnay — elegant, fine-grained and feminine — a style recognised by the 2025 Guide Hachette, which awarded two stars and a coup de coeur, citing aromas of black cherry, blackberry and liquorice, a harmonious palate, fine tannins and a fresh, persistent finish; the suggested drinking window runs from 2028 to 2034.
