Coming from 0.36 hectares, the 'En Caradeux' plot in Pernand-Vergelesses faces east, overlooking the Corton hill, at an altitude of between 250 and 300 metres above sea level, with clay-limestone soil mixed with chaillots (siliceous residues of flint limestone). 100% Pinot Noir.

Hand-harvested and selected in the vineyard, the grapes are 100% destemmed before being placed in open oak vats. Maceration and vinification last approximately 15 days. Daily punch-downs and pump-overs are performed during alcoholic fermentation. Aged in oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.

Este tinto de la bodega Domaine Poisot Père et Fils, con una añada 2023, es un Pernand-Vergelesses 1er Cru procedente de Francia. La uva empleada es 100% Pinot Noir.

La parcela 'En Caradeux', de 0,36 hectáreas, se ubica en Pernand-Vergelesses con orientación al este, frente a la colina de Corton. El viñedo se encuentra entre los 250 y 300 metros de altitud, sobre un suelo arcillo-calcáreo mezclado con chaillots (residuos silíceos de caliza de sílex). La elaboración comienza con una vendimia manual y una selección en el viñedo. Las uvas se despalillan al 100% antes de ingresar en tinas de roble abiertas para la maceración y vinificación, un proceso que se extiende aproximadamente durante 15 días. Durante la fermentación alcohólica se realizan bazuqueos y remontados diarios. La crianza finaliza en barricas de roble durante un periodo de 16 a 18 meses.

In 1902 Marie Poisot, daughter of Louis Latour, inherited two hectares of vines. They were not any two hectares: they took in a premier cru in Pernand and three grands crus, Corton, Corton-Charlemagne and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.

After the successive divisions and sales that followed her inheritance and the death of her son Pierre Poisot, a grower in Aloxe-Corton who died in 1937, the estate still runs to about those two hectares. And it keeps something very rare in a small family domaine: three grands crus and one premier cru in barely two hectares.

Its Romanée-Saint-Vivant parcel is under half a hectare. It sits in the southern part of the grand cru, just below Romanée-Conti, facing the rising sun, on heavy brown limestone clay with deep soil.

Rémi Poisot took over in 2010, after twenty-five years in the Navy.

The cellar is in Aloxe-Corton, a village given over entirely to vines and whose very name tells a story: Corton, the name of its grand cru, was added to Aloxe by imperial decree on 22 March 1862.
