Domaine Foret was established in 1885 by Elie Foret and remains in family hands today, now led by Frédéric Foret — a vigneron who is also a sculptor, best known for the six-metre, three-tonne clavelin sculpture he created at the entrance to Arbois in 2012. The domaine works 7.5 hectares across all five traditional Jura varieties under a sustainable, reasoned-farming approach, and its Poulsard comes exclusively from the lieu-dit Curon, a single parcel within the Arbois appellation.

The 2023 is made entirely from Poulsard harvested at Curon, vinified with indigenous yeasts through a cold pre-fermentation maceration of around three days and a total cuvaison of approximately 17 days, with a portion spending roughly seven months in old oak vessels before being bottled without filtration and without added sulphur, resulting in a production of around 4,000 bottles. The Guide Hachette 2025 awarded it two stars and a Coup de Cœur, describing the wine as "magistral."
