Terres Chaudes 2015 | Domaine Roches Neuves
35 to 45-year-old vineyards in the Chacé commune and the lieu-dit Les Poyeux with calcareous soils.
Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with native yeasts. Aged for 12 months in French oak foudres. Bottled without filtering or clarifying.
The biodynamic 2015 Saumur Champigny Terres Chaudes offers an intense and peppery bouquet of dark ripe berries along with aromas of toasted meat, flowers such as violets and even ivy, which gives a coolish component that fits perfectly with the terroir aromas. On the palate, this is a well-concentrated, tight, fresh and structured Cabernet Franc with lots of cassis flavors. Very elegant, fresh and long on the clear and mineral-structured finish. Still young but promising.
