Clos Henri Vineyard was established in 2000 by Jean-Marie and Rémi Bourgeois, heirs to a winemaking dynasty rooted in Chavignol, Sancerre since 1696 — ten generations of Loire Valley mastery transplanted to the sun-drenched foothills of Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Their 44 hectares of vines straddle the ancient Wairau Fault at elevations between 85 and 150 metres, where Otira glacial stones meet wind-blown Waimaunga clays to create a terroir of rare complexity and mineral tension.

The Estate Sauvignon Blanc is fermented in stainless steel and aged for three months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage, building texture while preserving the bright, aromatic purity that defines the 2025 vintage — a cooler, more graceful season that delivered an extended ripening period and exceptional aromatic expression. Where the 2024 was concentrated and powerful, this wine is all finesse and precision: fresh dried herbs, cold tea, and a streak of graphite run through a palate of chalky, restrained elegance and vivid tension.
