Clos Henri Vineyard was established in 2000 by Jean-Marie and Rémi Bourgeois, heirs to a winemaking dynasty rooted in Chavignol, Sancerre since 1696 — ten generations of Loire Valley mastery transplanted to the foothills of Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Their 44 hectares of vines straddle the ancient Wairau Fault at elevations between 85 and 150 metres, where Otira glacial stones meet wind-blown Waimaunga clays to create a terroir of rare mineral tension.
The Estate 2025 is fermented in stainless steel and aged for three months on fine lees with bâtonnage.
