Jean-François Ganevat, a defining figure of natural Jura wine, crafts Sur la Côte from 100% Pinot Noir grown in the Rotalier parcel on grey marl soils with clay-silt composition. Vines average around 40 years old, farmed with certified biodynamic (Demeter) and organic (Ecocert) practices since 2005, without herbicides and with manual soil work.

The 2020 harvest began exceptionally early on August 17 after a warm, dry summer, saved by mid-August rains. Whole-cluster, spontaneous fermentation with zero SO2, additives, fining, or filtration, followed by roughly one year in oak at 13% abv. Light ruby in the glass, with red fruits, rose petals, and fine tannins. Available in extremely limited Magnum 1.5L format only.
