Gutierrez de la Vega's Casta Diva Cosecha Miel is sourced from old bush-trained Moscatel Romano vines, around 50 years of age, planted in the municipalities of Teulada and Benisa within the Marina Alta comarca of northern Alicante. The vineyards sit at approximately 100 metres altitude on white calcareous marl soils with a south-east orientation, and are dry-farmed without irrigation — a practice well suited to the maritime-influenced, mountainous landscape of this corner of the province, where the winery has been based in Parcent since 1982.

Harvested entirely by hand on 30 September 2021, the wine is made from a deliberate blend of fully ripe and approximately 50% raisined grapes, the latter achieved through natural drying on the vine rather than botrytis infection. Fermentation is arrested by the addition of high-quality wine spirit (mutage), preserving under 145 g/l of residual sugar at 14% alcohol, after which the wine aged for 15 months in 225-litre barrels of mixed origin — American, Hungarian, French, Caucasian oak and acacia. The result is a structured, naturally sweet Moscatel that earned 93 points from Guía Peñín; it is perhaps best known beyond the wine press for being served as the dessert wine at the 2004 wedding of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia.
