A blend of 90% Grenache Noir and 10% Syrah, this wine is produced by La Bastide Saint Dominique, the estate Gérard and Marie-Claude Bonnet founded in 1979 in Courthézon, with their son Éric making the wine since 1999, southern Rhône, with AB organic certification. The grapes are sourced from the southern slopes of Mont Ventoux at around 450 metres altitude, where hard Cretaceous limestone soils with limestone scree and alluvial deposits give the vineyard its distinctive mineral character, with vines ranging from 20 to 35 years of age.

Hand-harvested and vinified exclusively in stainless steel vats with no oak influence.

La Bastide Saint Dominique presenta su Ventoux 2023 Réserve Saint Dominique, un tinto de la región del Ródano en Francia. La denominación de origen es Ventoux, situada en la vertiente sur del Mont Ventoux, a una altitud de unos 450 metros. La bodega fue fundada en 1979 por Gérard y Marie-Claude Bonnet en Courthézon y es dirigida actualmente por su hijo Éric desde 1999, contando con certificación de agricultura ecológica AB.

El viñedo se ubica sobre suelos de caliza cretácica con pedrizas y aluviones, y las uvas provienen de plantaciones con entre 20 y 35 años de edad. La composición del vino combina un 90% de Garnacha Negra y un 10% de Syrah. La vendimia se realiza a mano. Respecto a la elaboración, el proceso se lleva íntegramente en depósitos de acero inoxidable, sin ningún paso por madera durante su crianza.

Se trata de un vino joven, elaborado sin roble, que busca expresar la frescura de la uva y la influencia del terroir calcáreo de la ladera del Ventoux bajo un estilo de vinificación limpio y directo.

Gérard and Marie-Claude Bonnet created the house in 1979, in Courthézon, on the remains of an old chapel. Their son Éric has made the wine since 1999 and his sister Véronique joined in 2016.

There are 45 hectares with AB organic certification, spread over the Courthézon hills and the Pignan, Bédines, Valori and Chapouin sites within Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Out of them come Côtes-du-Rhône, Cairanne and Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

«La Réserve Saint Dominique» is the range under which they sign some of their wines.

The Ventoux comes from the southern face of Mont Ventoux, at around 450 metres, on Cretaceous limestone with scree and alluvial deposits, from vines of twenty to thirty-five years. It is 90% grenache noir and 10% syrah: hand-picked and made entirely in stainless steel, with no time in oak.
