Sourced from granitic parcels north of Orschwiller toward Châtenois, this entry-level Riesling from Domaine Allimant-Laugner is farmed organically (FR-BIO-09) and biodynamically across 40 plots. Manual labor throughout the vineyard, combined with indigenous yeast fermentation, delivers the precise, mineral-driven character the granite soils naturally encourage.

Harvested manually in the third week of September 2023 and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Bone-dry at 1.7 g/L residual sugar, 12.29% ABV, minimal sulphite additions.

Learn more about Domaine Allimant-Laugner

The name joins two families who had grown vines since the seventeenth century: the Laugners in Dieffenthal and the Allimants in Saint-Hippolyte. The house has made wine and crémant in Orschwiller since 1724, across eleven generations.

In 1816 captain François-Antoine Allimant bought vines on the slopes of the Haut-Koenigsbourg and a building dating from 1664 in Orschwiller.

There are twelve hectares split across more than forty parcels. That works out at an average of some three thousand square metres each, so the work consists of moving from one place to another and treating every piece separately: there is no single estate, there are forty.

Among those parcels is the Grand Cru Praelatenberg.
