Este tinto procede de la Denominación de Origen Maranges 1er Cru, situada en la Côte de Beaune dentro de la región de Borgoña, Francia. La bodega Chapuis & Chapuis elabora esta añada 2019 a partir de una uva 100% Pinot Noir. El viñedo que aporta la fruta se encontraba en proceso de conversión ecológica durante la cosecha.
La elaboración se caracteriza por un enfoque minimalista y respetuoso con la expresión varietal. La vendimia se realizó de forma manual. La fermentación se llevó a cabo utilizando únicamente levaduras indígenas. El vino no ha recibido adición de sulfuros durante su proceso y se embotella sin filtrar.
Se trata de un Pinot Noir de elaboración natural, sin sulfuroso añadido y sin filtrar, del extremo sur de la Côte de Beaune.

The brothers Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis set up their own domaine in 2009, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune.
What defines them is a decision that admits no half measures: they make wine without added sulphur, and not in one stray cuvée but across the whole range. In Burgundy, where sulphur is standard practice and the guarantee that a bottle arrives stable, doing without it in every wine demands a different level of cellar hygiene and control.
They farm organically and intervene as little as possible in the cellar: indigenous yeast and no filtration.
Their Maranges comes from the appellation that closes the Côte de Beaune to the south.
