Chapuis & Chapuis

The brothers Romain and Jean-Guillaume Chapuis set up their own domaine in 2009, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune.

What defines them is a decision that admits no half measures: they make wine without added sulphur, and not in one stray cuvée but across the whole range. In Burgundy, where sulphur is standard practice and the guarantee that a bottle arrives stable, doing without it in every wine demands a different level of cellar hygiene and control.

They farm organically and intervene as little as possible in the cellar: indigenous yeast and no filtration.

Their Maranges comes from the appellation that closes the Côte de Beaune to the south.
