Domaine Isabelle Doudet

We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.

The surname appears on two labels from the same family: Domaine Isabelle Doudet for the wines from their own vineyards and Doudet-Naudin for the bought-in ones. The Doudet-Naudin house was founded in 1849 in Savigny-lès-Beaune and is still in the same hands.

Marcel Doudet built the domaine up in the 1930s. Isabelle, his granddaughter, is the third generation and runs the winemaking with Emmanuel Berteloot.

The vines are spread mainly between Savigny-lès-Beaune and Pernand-Vergelesses, with plots in Aloxe-Corton and Beaune as well. They farm under lutte raisonnée, with trials in organic viticulture.

Les Fichots is a Premier Cru of Pernand-Vergelesses: pinot noir from fifty-five-year-old vines facing east, on marly limestone. It is picked and sorted by hand, destemmed and fermented in open vats for nineteen days, punched down by hand every day, before pneumatic pressing. It ages fourteen months in barrel, 20% of it new.
