Domaine Brunely

We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.

The estate's land was offered in the fifteenth century by Pope Martin V to Pellegrin de Brunelis, and the house takes its name from that surname.

Rémi Carichon bought the property in 1976. His son Charles set up in 1986 and is the one who works the mosaic of plots they have put together; Édouard, of the third generation, carries it on.

The winery is in Vacqueyras, and from there they have moved into other southern Rhône appellations: Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Cairanne and Ventoux. They plant grenache, syrah, mourvèdre and carignan, and have held HVE certification since 2020.

The Cairanne comes from forty-year-old vines on clay-limestone soil, with 50% grenache, 30% syrah and 20% carignan.

It is picked by hand, fully destemmed and macerated for fifteen to twenty days between 24 and 28 ºC. It is pneumatically pressed at under one bar, ages ten to twelve months in concrete tank and rests three to six months in bottle before release.
