Château La Dournie

We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.

The Étienne family bought the estate in 1870, and since then it has passed from mother to daughter, generation after generation. That is no small detail: in European wine, inheritance almost always runs from father to son, and here it has run the other way for a century and a half. Véronique Étienne heads it today.

It lies in Saint-Chinian, in the south of the Hérault, a few kilometres north-west of Béziers. Forty-five hectares of vines on schist soils, certified organic.

Véronique belongs to Les Vinifilles, the association of women winegrowers of Occitanie.
