Jérémie Huchet

We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.

The house begins with the cellars of a monastery, bought by his great-grandfather Joseph Arnaud. His grandfather, Constant Huchet, took on the vineyard in 1945: six hectares. Jérémie Huchet took over in 2001.

He farms some sixty hectares today, ten times that, spread across four different Muscadet terroirs: Monnières-Saint-Fiacre, Clisson, Château-Thébaud and Goulaine. Since 2006 he has also leased the Château de la Bretesche, on the gneiss slopes of the Sèvre.

The granite of Château-Thébaud, where he is based, makes up barely 4% of the appellation's surface: an island of rock inside the Muscadet vineyard.

Among his plots are vines planted in 1914, now over a century old.

One parcel is certified organic and the rest are in conversion.
