Domaine de la Fidélité has farmed Menetou-Salon since 1560; Antoine de la Farge returned in 2012 after twelve years in the négociant trade and Australia. Kimmeridgian limestone, clay and marl studded with oyster fossils — the same geology as Sancerre — underpin the certified organic vineyards, harvested by hand and vinified with natural yeasts.

Medium-length maceration; aged in tank and barrel. Production of around 16,000 bottles.

Among their plots is the Clos de Davet, which appears in writings from the eleventh century.

The family has made wine in Menetou-Salon since 1560. His parents, Laurence and Géraud de la Farge, created the domaine in 2002 on a vineyard they had bought in the eighties; back then it was called Domaine de l'Ermitage.

Antoine de la Farge, an agronomic engineer and oenologist, came back in 2012 after years travelling the world of wine and renamed it Domaine de la Fidélité. Alongside it he runs his own merchant house in the Centre Loire appellations: Menetou-Salon, Sancerre and Pouilly-Fumé.

There are twelve hectares on some of the oldest plots in the appellation, farmed organically under certification. The soils are Kimmeridgian limestone with clay, marl and oyster fossils: the same geology as Sancerre.

Première Cuvée is pinot noir from two hectares. It is picked by hand and ferments with the vineyard's own yeasts, with nothing added; a medium-length maceration and ageing in tank and barrel. Around 16,000 bottles are made.
