Indigo Eyes

Indigo Eyes is a family winery based in Napa Valley founded by two first-generation Italian winemakers. Stefano Migotto comes from Abano Terme, in the Veneto, is the third generation of a family of winemakers and distillers, trained at the Conegliano School of Oenology and went on to lead the family house before crossing to the United States after twelve years in the trade in Italy. Dario de Conti began studying wine at fourteen on a farm in Treviso, took his degree at the University of Padua and worked eight years in Italian wineries before moving.

There is one point worth clarifying because it shows on the label: although the wine is made in Napa Valley, the wines do not carry the Napa appellation. They are bottled as California, a broader appellation that allows fruit from different parts of the state. The winery is listed as a member of Napa Green, the valley's sustainability certification programme.
