Domaine de la Renaudie

The wine is named after the founder: Albert Denis set the estate up in 1928 with two hectares, and côt was his favourite variety. This cuvée is the tribute.

Bruno Denis and his wife Patricia, an oenologist, run the domaine today, with their daughter Charlotte since 2016: fourth generation and thirty hectares.

They are in Mareuil-sur-Cher, on the banks of the Cher, where Touraine, Berry and Sologne meet. They farm to Terra Vitis and HVE level 3 certification.

Albert Denis is 100% côt — the Loire name for malbec — from vines averaging around forty years, on siliceous clay soils studded with river galets. It is vinified in stainless steel, with no oak.
