Monteabellón

Their Veintisiete wines are named after the 27 Club, the musicians who died at that age: Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, Cobain, Winehouse.

Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón was founded by the García family in 2000 in Nava de Roa, Burgos, although their link with the vineyards of the area goes back several generations.

They farm 175 hectares of their own across three appellations: Rueda, Ribera del Duero and Rioja. The same house also trades as Navygrapes.

The white Veintisiete is verdejo from Rueda vineyards at 750 metres, on sandy loam with rounded gravel, and stays at 12.5% alcohol.

The red is 100% tinto fino from Ribera del Duero, unoaked and with a short maceration.
