Lamé Delisle Boucard
We let you know when a new wine arrives or drops in price.
The name of the house grew longer with each marriage. The domaine was founded in 1889; in 1938 the marriage of Yvonne and Lucien Lamé brought in «Lamé-Delisle», and in 1965 Maryvonne's union with a Boucard added the third surname.
They began bottling and selling their own wine in 1947.
Philippe and Stéphanie Lamé, brother and sister and the fifth generation, run it today. There are 44 hectares across four communes of the Bourgueil appellation, with the base in Ingrandes-de-Touraine. The domaine is also called Domaine des Chesnaies.
Bourgueil sits on the right bank of the Loire, in Touraine, and it is cabernet franc country. Cuvée Prestige is 100% cabernet franc, from plots on the two soils that define the appellation: the clay-limestone tuffeau and the clay-siliceous. It ages a year in oak barrel.
