Domaine Henri Delagrange et Fils

The family has worked two neighbouring Côte de Beaune terroirs for generations, Volnay and Pommard. The house has been based in Volnay since 1947, the year René Delagrange bottled the Clos des Chênes premier cru.

Didier Delagrange finished his studies at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune in 1990 and spent the better part of a decade working with his father, in the vines and in the cellar, before formally taking over in 2003.

He now farms just under eleven hectares spread across Volnay, Pommard, Aloxe-Corton, Meursault and Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Beaune.

Clos des Chênes is his benchmark premier cru, in pinot noir.
