The 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir La Myotte hails from the same terroir as the Mâcon-Cruzille Beaumont, but instead of Gamay, it's produced from Pinot Noir vines planted in the 1960s, making for an interesting comparison. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dried herbs, plums and berries, it's medium-bodied, satiny and layered, with an incisive spine of acidity.
