La Myotte 2017 | Burgundy
16,5/20 - Revue du Vin de France
Area of 0.8 hectares. Located in the historic red areas of Cruzille, Myotte is a rather cold terroir where flowering is often difficult. With Marne et calcaire flooring. 100% Pinot Noir.
Aging for 11 months in oak barrels
The 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir La Myotte hails from the same terroir as the Mâcon-Cruzille Beaumont, but instead of Gamay, it's produced from Pinot Noir vines planted in the 1960s, making for an interesting comparison. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dried herbs, plums and berries, it's medium-bodied, satiny and layered, with an incisive spine of acidity.
