Château Cormeil-Figeac 2016
Coming from a single plot of 10 hectares. The Château Cormeil-Figeac vineyard exists since the 17th century, it is one of the 100 oldest estates in Saint-Emilion. The grapes come from the oldest vines, which were planted by René and Lucie, his great-grandparents. Located in the town of Saint-Emilion in contact with the Pomerol appellation, we enjoy a warm, dry, early and hail-free microclimate. With a clay and limestone soil. 25% Cabernet-Franc and 75% Merlot.
Ageing 12 months in new barrels
A representative example of this magnificent 2016 vintage in Saint-Émilion, the nose is still austere, somewhat closed. In the mouth it displays all its charms, silky, well armed, with round tannins and an almost sweet finish. Ready to consume now but is made for storage.
